The Origin Story
Returning Home
Tato Giovannoni built his reputation around the world as a cocktail consultant and is the most celebrated bartender in Latin America. He returned to his native Argentina to open “Florería Atlánticon,” which remains the only South American cocktail bar listed in the Drinks International’s Best 50 Bars in the World. Inspired by the flavours of his country, Tato created his own Argentinian spirit using fresh mate leaves to honour his ancestors and culture.
Honouring Argentinian Heritage
Historically the mate leaf was popularised in Argentina by Jesuit settlers and el mate became the country’s national drink. To honour his homeland, Tato experimented with many different flavour combinations before perfecting Apóstoles. His creation is a beautifully balanced expression of botanicals that invokes his Argentinian heritage.
Twined Traditions Result in a Brand-New Palate
Apóstoles adds a South American twist to an established spirit. Fresh Argentinian plants and botanicals are all macerated individually, before being blended and distilled. By incorporating these tropical flavours, an original flavour profile is created - one that brings an indigenous Latin American flair to this new-world spirit.
