Whisky Sour
C’est La Vie is an excellent cocktail bas, perfect for a delicious whisky sour. To make your own, pour 50ml of C’est La Vie, 20ml of sugar syrup, and fresh-pressed lemon juice over ice into a shaker. Shake vigorously, and pour into an Old Fashioned glass. To give it a little more body, add a few drops of egg white into the mix before shaking - the foam will be richer and thicker. Decorate with a lime twist and a sprig of mint.

Alsace, France
The region of Alsace is situated in north-eastern France on the Rhine River plain. It borders both Germany and Switzerland and has alternated between German and French control throughout its history. Today, this cultural mix is apparent - beautiful timber-framed German-style houses line the streets and rub up against typical French-style churches.
Aged in wine barrels
C’est La Vie is produced by the Lehmann distillery - an established brandy and eau-de-vie distillery near the German border. It’s produced using “Charentes”-style copper stills and is distilled twice to create a smooth, well-balanced final product. After distillation, it’s aged for three years in wooden Bordeaux wine barrels, adding mellow, soft, cedar notes to the flavour profile.
Everything local, and everything luxury
Everything that goes into C’est La Vie is entirely French, from the malts, grains, and water, to the stills and barrels used to produce it. As the new wave of French whiskies grows in popularity, C’est La Vie proudly takes its place among the forerunners. Its exceptional quality is present both inside and outside the bottle with a genuine silver leaf printed on the label.
The Brains Behind It
Yves Lehmann
The Lehmann distillery is a family business. It is the oldest and most prestigious eau-de-vie distillery in the region and was originally founded in 1850 by Yves’s great-great-grandfather. The distillery has been passed down from father to son for 5 generations and is currently owned by Yves Lehmann. Today he produces a variety of spirits, including a line of whiskies that he first introduced in 2000.
